Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, implement, migrate/upgrade and administer Splunk infrastructure.
  • Splunk upgrades on Large Scale Enterprise Client Environments.
  • Preparation of migration plan, documenting work instructions for migration, execution through successful closure of migration from lower to higher Splunk version.
  • Design, create, deploy, test, custom ML models using various tools (UBA, MLTK, SMLE) to solve security problems, and potentially spot performance related problems in advance.
  • Perform data normalization, ingestion into the dedicated data models and mapping data with use cases.
  • Supporting the onboarding of data into Splunk via forwarder, scripted inputs, TCP/ UDP and modular inputs from different sources.
  • Provide high-quality technical support to clients at all levels, speaking with a high level of technical understanding, resolving complex technical problems and helping to proactively prevent new issues.
  • Work closely with (senior) engineers, other team members and application owners to identify required data for building / creating pre-defined use cases and creation and maintenance of the standard data model related Application Onboarding.
  • Handle deep technical troubleshooting and deliver solutions in very complex scenarios, and utilize monitoring and debugging tools to analyze problems and identify solutions.

Must Have

  • At least 8 years of  experience.
  • Extensive experience in Splunk from legacy/ latest version.
  • Experience on Linux Technologies.
  • Good experience in Ansible/Puppet or relevant DevOps tools.
  • Hands on experience of setting up Splunk including but not limited to license management, Syslog, Splunk apps, Splunk configuration, index management, universal forwarder, forwarder management, parsing, searching, high availability, disaster recovery configuration for large scale environment.
  • Extensive experience with Splunk Enterprise Security and Splunk User Behavior Analytics.
  • Possess the ability to accurately assess problems and requests from multiple perspectives, analyze approach feasibility, and decide on the most efficient course of action.

Nice to have

  • Upgrade/Migration experience of Splunk upgrades in Large Scale Enterprise Client Environments.
  • Good Experience in Windows Technologies.
  • ITIL foundation certification.
  • Good experience in ITSM.
  • Excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
