Overview
SAP IS-U Functional Consultant with 8+ years of experience in Meter-to-Cash processes, Billing, and FICA. Skilled in configuration, tariffs, master data, billing runs, and end-to-end project delivery. Experienced in requirements gathering, testing, integration (CRM, FICO, S/4HANA), and support within the utilities sector, ensuring accurate financial and billing processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Configure, implement, and support Meter-to-Cash (M2C) processes in SAP Utilities (IS-U).
- Design complex tariffs and manage master data (rates, operands).
- Execute billing runs (mass processing), troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with utility regulations.
- Support testing, user training, and end-to-end project lifecycle (development and support).
- Integrate SAP IS-U with FICA, CRM, and external systems.
- Analyse business needs and design, configure, and implement SAP FICA solutions.
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams.
- Support processes such as billing, payments, and collections.
- Perform requirements gathering, system configuration, testing, documentation, and process improvement.
- Understand business finance processes and translate them into SAP configurations (FICO, S/4HANA).
- Design solutions (blueprints, UAT), support system integration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure accurate financial data flows across systems and modules (MM, SD, etc.).
- Provide user training and post-implementation support.

Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills across teams and modules.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 8 years of experience.
- Experience in SAP IS-U Utilities for project and support activities.
- Experience managing the full project/change lifecycle from scoping (requirements gathering), estimates, development, unit testing, through to deployment.
- Implementation project experience preferred.
- Strong SAP IS-U product knowledge, with subject matter expertise in IS-U Billing and Invoicing.
- Detailed knowledge of billing master data and IMG configuration (rates, schema, variants, pricing, events).
- Strong knowledge of billing, invoicing, and printing processes.
- Experience in SAP IS-U FICA processes (dunning, payments, recovery, and integrations).
- Experience in SAP IS-U Billing and FICA production support activities.
- Experience in the Belgian utilities/energy market.
- Good understanding of Belgian energy market regulations.
- Experience in billing functional specification preparation for customisation.
- Experience in test case matrix preparation for enhancements and quality delivery.

Good knowledge of ABAP (design, development, and debugging of programs and reports, including classical, interactive, ALV, and Data Dictionary).
