Overview
Senior Microsoft Systems Engineer with deep expertise in on‑premises Microsoft infrastructures and extensive experience in large-scale enterprise environments, ideally within the financial or banking sector. The ideal candidate brings at least 8 years of hands‑on engineering experience, strong diagnostic and analytical capabilities, and a proven ability to operate reliably in production‑critical environments.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Microsoft systems, software, and databases, including security components, communication platforms, desktop environments, and core operational services.
- Provide second‑ and third‑level support for Microsoft technologies, infrastructure services, and security configurations.
- Lead, mentor, and coach team members while ensuring effective follow‑up on assigned activities.
- Report operational performance, risks, and team activities to management.
- Manage projects in alignment with established project management frameworks and governance standards.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to support system availability, compliance, and service quality monitoring.
- Contribute to the planning, deployment, and continuous improvement of Microsoft application environments, infrastructure services, and monitoring processes.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience.
- Extensive experience as a Microsoft Systems Engineer, with a strong focus on on‑premises infrastructures.
- Proven background in large-scale or enterprise‑grade environments.
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within cross‑functional teams.
- Demonstrated experience in the financial or banking sector.
- Proven ability to operate in high‑availability, production‑critical environments.
- Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work one day per week off‑site.
- Professional working proficiency in French and English.
- Luxembourgish is an asset but not required.
