Overview
The client is looking for a Test Automation Engineer to strengthen automated testing across three applications covering membership and contribution management, payment management for members, and payment management for care providers. The role will focus on increasing test coverage, implementing end-to-end test automation across applications and peripheral systems, and maintaining a consistent test automation approach using Selenium and Cucumber.
The engineer will work as part of a self-organizing Scrum team alongside another Test Automation Engineer. The role will also involve establishing and maintaining customised automated test sets for multiple healthcare entities, enabling Scrum team members to create and modify automated scenarios, and coaching developers on basic test automation activities.
Job Responsibilities
- Further develop the automated regression test scenarios by proactively gathering the necessary requirements and scenarios.
- Increase coverage of the existing test automation suites.
- Implement end-to-end test automation within individual applications and between the various applications and peripheral applications.
- Ensure that the end-to-end flows are covered.
- Set up and maintain separate test sets for the new entities.
- Set up automated web service tests, optionally using REST Assured.
- Enable current Scrum team members to create and modify automated test scenarios themselves.
- Ensure that work on the test automation suite continues in a uniform manner.
- Sustain a consistent way of working across the test automation activities.
- Coach developers on how to perform basic automation test activities themselves.
Must Have Skills
- Proven experience in the technical development of automated GUI test scenarios using Selenium and Cucumber.
- Strong knowledge of Java.
- Knowledge of the Page Object Model.
- Experience with testing and automating REST web services.
- Knowledge of SQL and test data management.
- Knowledge of Agile working methods.
- Experience with CI/CD integration using Jenkins.
- Experience with Docker.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining automated regression and end-to-end test scenarios.
- Ability to work proactively within a self-organizing Scrum team.
Nice to have
- Experience with REST Assured.
- Experience testing integrated flows across multiple applications and peripheral systems.
- Experience creating customised automated test sets for multiple environments or entities.
- Experience coaching developers or Scrum team members in test automation.
- Experience working with healthcare, insurance, membership-management, payment, or care-provider-management applications.
