Overview
Experienced Java Dev Engineer with 8+ years in Agile environments, delivering scalable solutions using Java/Spring, REST, SOA, Oracle, SQL, and cloud technologies. Strong analytical and coaching skills, with solid banking knowledge. Able to work in complex organisations, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Contribute to delivering sprint commitments by collaborating beyond own technical domain within the Agile team.
- Focus on completing the sprint backlog as prioritised by the Product Owner based on business value.
- Apply Scrum values (focus, commitment, openness, respect, courage) in daily work and team collaboration.
- Actively support knowledge sharing, open communication, continuous learning, and delivery of business value.
- Ability to translate features and user stories into software with real business value in collaboration with stakeholders and Product Owner.
Must Have Skills
- At least 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferably in IT).
- Strong experience as a Java Engineer in an Agile environment.
- Knowledge and experience with Java/Spring applications, OO, REST, SOA, and Selenium.
- Experience with Oracle and SQL.
- Experience with cloud environments.
- Ability to share knowledge, coach, and train colleagues.
- Good understanding of banking in general.
- Ability to organise and prioritise work efficiently.
- Ability to take ownership of developments and coach junior developers.
- Flexibility to work in multiple environments, methodologies, and teams.
- Ability to work in large organisations with multiple stakeholders.
- Curiosity and ability to follow the latest technical developments.
- Excellent knowledge of English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
