Overview
IT Project and Application Manager with a university degree in IT and/or electricity and several years of relevant experience as an IT Project Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, and/or Product Owner. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of IT projects and business applications, from planning and implementation to support and maintenance. You will lead initiatives that involve launching and following up on projects, monitoring their scope, budget, and schedule, managing risks and issues, and ensuring all activities are aligned with business goals. Your tasks include drafting progress reports, producing documentation, and working closely with business stakeholders to define and prioritise project portfolios.
Job Responsibilities
- Managing IT projects, including launching and following up on projects, planning their implementation, monitoring their scope, budget, and schedule, managing issues and risks, drafting progress reports, producing documentation.
- Working with the business to set priorities within your project portfolio.
- Cooperating on and synchronising with IT projects upstream or downstream of your projects to address scheduling constraints and realise synergies between projects.
- Testing requirements provided by the business prior to their approval.
- Validating and verifying specifications drawn up by the business and, for internally developed software, translating these into a functional, technical design based on Microsoft technologies (.NET).
- Managing a team of internal and/or external developers in collaboration with the .NET technical manager.
- Closely monitoring projects involving software that is purchased or developed externally.
- Validating a testing and quality management strategy and monitoring during rollout.
- Overseeing releases.
- Supporting end users (second-line support).
- Organising and prioritising the maintenance of the developed solutions.
Must Have Skills
- University degree with a specialisation in IT and/or electricity.
- Several years of relevant experience as an IT Project Manager, Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, and/or Product Owner.
- Able to communicate effectively with developers on technical matters.
- Comfortable communicating with operators on technical and design topics.
- Possesses strong analytical thinking and organisational skills.
- Fluent in English, with a good working knowledge of Dutch and/or French.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agile Scrum development and/or Lean management is a plus.
- Experience with projects or products based on Microsoft architecture (e.g., .NET, Visual Studio, SQL Server) is a plus.
- Knowledge of and experience in the electricity and/or energy sector is an asset.
- Stays up to date with the latest IT developments; demonstrable experience in digitalisation is an asset.
