Overview
A Dynamics 365 F&O Functional Lead drives the design, configuration, and implementation of Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, bridging complex business requirements with Functional & technical solutions. Lead workshops, create functional blueprints, guide consultants, and ensure scalable, high-performing implementations while managing stakeholder expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Architecture: Translating business requirements into robust, functional designs and ensuring end-to-end integrity.
- Business Process Analysis (BPA): Leading workshops to map current processes to D365 F&O functionality, identifying gaps and recommending Solutions & improvements.
- Configuration & Customization Oversight: Guiding the team in configuring modules (Finance, Supply Chain, Production) and managing customization, integrations, and ISV solutions.
- Fit/Gap Analysis: Identify gaps between business requirements and standard D365 functionality, providing solutions (e.g., custom development, ISV solutions).
- Configuration & Data: Oversee system configuration and define data migration/integration strategies.
- Documentation: Defining functional specifications, testing scripts, and ensuring user adoption.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, bridging the gap between technical teams and business users.
- Communicate & convince the business on process changes due to OOB D365 implementation.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 13 years of experience with Dynamics 365 F&O implementations, specifically in multi-site or multi-country environments.
- Deep knowledge of Finance & Supply Chain Management (SCM).
- Strong ability to translate complex business needs into functional, actionable specifications.
- Proven ability to create high-quality, comprehensive functional designs.
- Understanding of LCS, Power Platform, DevOps, and integration methodologies is highly desirable.
