Overview
Cloud Security Engineer with 7+ years in IT security and expertise in Microsoft Azure. Responsibilities include designing secure cloud architecture, implementing IAM solutions, integrating DevSecOps, managing incident response, monitoring via SIEM, ensuring compliance (ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2), and acting as SME for Azure security.
Job Responsibilities
- Co-Develop secure cloud architecture and design patterns for Azure environments
- Create and maintain security protocols, policies, and procedures
- Integrate security into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and DevSecOps practices
- Enable cloud incident response and telemetry, using centralized intra-cloud and cross-cloud push and pull logging designs
- Assist with vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Monitor system activities, logs, and alerts using SIEM tools via SOC.
- Respond to and investigate security incidents.
- Design and implement IAM solutions including Azure AD, role-based access control (RBAC), and conditional access.
- Manage authentication mechanisms and data access controls.
- Ensure compliance of the Azure landscape with standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2.
- Facilitate and perform regular audits and assessments to maintain regulatory alignment.
- Work closely with IT, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams.
- Provide guidance and training on cloud security best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Azure security.
Must Have Skills
- At least 7 years of experience in IT security (including 3+ years in cloud security architecture).
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (Entra, Azure Security Center, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud).
- Hands-on experience with security tools: firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, SIEM, SOAR.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing models: IaaS, PaaS, SaaS.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent in English, with excellent communication skills.
