Overview

Business Analyst (GIS) with experience in GIS projects and ESRI ArcGIS Pro environments. Skilled in business analysis, stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, testing, and process optimisation within Agile transformation programmes. Experienced in gathering business requirements, supporting GIS implementations, and coordinating communication between business and technical teams. Strong knowledge of BPM, Jira, Confluence, and GIS Viewer solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct business analyses and validate findings with business stakeholders.
  • Gather, document, and refine business requirements related to GIS processes and systems.
  • Support the implementation of the new ESRI ArcGIS Pro environment.
  • Prepare and execute SIT and UAT test scenarios.
  • Participate actively in testing activities and analyse test results.
  • Facilitate workshops with end users and business representatives.
  • Capture questions, feedback, and improvement requests from stakeholders and ensure proper follow-up with the project team.
  • Coordinate communication between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Act as an independent facilitator and coordinator representing the overall interests of the organisation.
  • Build knowledge of business processes to ensure process consistency and synergies.
  • Support management decision-making through analysis, process facilitation, and follow-up of action plans.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute proactively to organisational optimisation initiatives.
  • Monitor dependencies between teams, processes, and deliverables with a critical and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Contribute to process analysis and data modelling activities within the transformation program.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams in an Agile project environment.
  • Contribute actively to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation efforts.
  • Support workshop facilitation, collaborative problem-solving, and iterative delivery approaches.
  • Facilitate transparent communication and continuous feedback between business and technical stakeholders.

Must Have Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in GIS projects, specifically with ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
  • Proven experience with GIS Viewer software for business users.
  • Good knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS Pro, GIS Viewer solutions, and BPM methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Jira, Confluence, and the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions.
  • Experience in business process development and optimisation (BPM).
  • Experience working within large transformation or change management programs.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management.
  • Show adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic transformation context.
  • Be willing to travel across different regional sites in Flanders when required.
  • Native-level proficiency in Dutch required.

  • Operate effectively with both strategic helicopter-view thinking and operational pragmatism.
