Overview
We are seeking an experienced Functional Analyst with at least 10 years of proven expertise. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, translating business analyses into clear functional and technical requirements. You will ensure that clients have a realistic understanding of deliverables, developers know exactly what to build, and testers can design accurate and efficient test environments. As a Senior Functional Analyst, you will play a key role in aligning analyses with the overall ICT strategy, maintaining high-quality documentation, and sharing knowledge across teams. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and testers to ensure project success and may take on project management or team leadership responsibilities. This position requires solid experience in strategic analysis, strong knowledge of Business Process Modeling, UML, BPMN, and functional analysis, and the ability to challenge and improve existing processes. Proficiency in tools like Confluence and Jira, combined with a proactive and quality-driven mindset, is essential.
Job Responsibilities
- Translate business analyses into functional and technical analyses for ICT teams.
- Ensure the client has a realistic view of what to expect.
- Ensure the developer understands what is expected of them.
- Ensure the tester knows what to verify and can design the necessary test environment for that purpose.
- Ensure analyses are consistent with the ICT strategy.
- Communicate/transmit knowledge, including to junior analysts.

Create and maintain technical documentation to guide the development team (developers and testers).

Be able to take on the role of project manager.
Must Have Skills
- At least 10 years of proven experience.
- Solid experience in strategic analysis.
- Good knowledge of Business Process Modeling, UML, BPMN methods, and functional analysis.
- Ability to clearly describe desired and existing processes.
- Ability to estimate development time and cost as part of a group.
- Capability to question existing processes and design effective alternatives.
- Basic knowledge of data management to query information and understand valid or error processing.
- Good knowledge of Confluence and Jira tools.
- At least a basic understanding of testing methodologies.
- Proactive and positive attitude toward quality.
- Knowledge of English and at least one of the country’s official languages (French and/or Dutch).
