Overview
Experienced Databricks Data Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills in Python or Scala, experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS, and a solid understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing. Key responsibilities include managing the Databricks environment, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, scalable data solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data into and within Databricks.
- Implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to migrate and deploy data across systems.
- Ensuring data quality through data validation, cleansing, and monitoring processes.
- Optimizing Spark jobs and data processing workflows for performance and scalability within Databricks.
- Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and other teams to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions.
- Managing and configuring the Databricks environment, including clusters and notebooks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving data-related issues and performance problems within Databricks.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest Databricks features, best practices, and related technologies.
Must Have Skills
- At least 6 years of experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Scala.
- Experience with Apache Spark and other big data technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
- Knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience working with Databricks notebooks and clusters.
- Understanding of data security and compliance best practices.
