Overview
Automation Tester to develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scenarios based on existing documentation and application functionalities. The ideal candidate will provide recommendations on test coverage, including functional, non-functional, integration, and non-regression testing. You will prepare test data, execute tests, document results with evidence, and collaborate closely with the development team to maintain high-quality standards. A key responsibility is to select, implement, and maintain automated test suites, ensuring their regular execution within Agile/Scrum environments. Strong skills in test automation (e.g., Python scripting), test design, and defect tracking are essential. Familiarity with Robot Framework, databases, RabbitMQ, and IT concepts such as APIs and client-server architectures is highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities
- Write a test plan and test scenarios based on existing documentation and current application functionalities.
- Provide recommendations on which tests to execute (e.g., non-regression tests), based on the acceptance criteria defined in User Stories and identified risks.
- Test scenarios cover functional, non-functional (e.g., performance, security), integration, and non-regression testing, with all documentation written in clear English accessible to any European reader with basic proficiency.
- Prepare test data (test data must be selected or created before executing the test scenarios).
- Execute test plans and scenarios, document results (pass/fail) with supporting evidence (e.g., logs, screenshots), ensuring a pragmatic and efficient approach within the team's timeline.
- Collaborate with the team to select test cases for automation, implement and maintain automated test suites, and ensure their regular execution.
- Report and track defects using bug-tracking tools.
- Update test documentation with results, and collaborate with developers and the project lead to ensure quality standards are met.

Give the “Go” for deployment from the test to the acceptance environment, and reproduce any defects found in the acceptance or production environments.
Must Have Skills
- Proven experience in writing test plans, test designs, and test scenarios.

Experience in test automation and/or hands-on programming/scripting (e.g., Python) and/or equivalent logical skills (ability to explain in pseudocode).
- Basic knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and associated queries.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of Robot Framework (RF) is a strong asset.
- Ability to understand basic IT concepts such as client-server architecture, web services, APIs, protocols, front-end and back-end systems.
- Experience with RabbitMQ is a major plus.
- Proficiency in English (all documentation and communication are in English), with knowledge of French and/or Dutch.
