Overview
The client is looking for an ICT Development Lead to take technical responsibility for the development team and act as a hands-on player-coach. The role involves actively contributing to development using C#, Angular, and TypeScript while leading application architecture, code quality, security standards, and the professional development of four Full Stack Developers.
The ICT Development Lead will work closely with the DevOps & Systems Engineer on production deployments and will translate strategic ICT directions into concrete development plans.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and evolve the application architecture of projects in coordination with the ICT Manager.
- Actively contribute to development using C#, Angular, and TypeScript according to business needs and priorities.
- Ensure the technical consistency and maintainability of the codebase.
- Evaluate and validate the integration of new libraries or technologies.
- Establish and enforce development standards, including OWASP and security best practices.
- Review all Pull Requests before production deployment.
- Ensure compliance with quality criteria.
- Ensure that unit and integration tests are written and maintained.
- Participate in deployment approval processes in collaboration with the DevOps & Systems Engineer.
- Provide production deployment backup in case of emergency or DevOps unavailability.
- Supervise, organise, and prioritise the daily work of the four Full Stack Developers.
- Support the professional development of junior developers.
- Lead team rituals, including daily meetings, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Evaluate individual performance and identify training needs.
- Ensure effective communication between the development team and the ICT Manager.
- Translate strategic directions into concrete development plans.
- Report on project progress and technical obstacles.
- Participate in ICT steering meetings.
- Contribute to workload estimation and sprint planning.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum of seven years of software development experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in a Lead, Tech Lead, or senior leadership role.
- Advanced proficiency in C# and .NET.
- Advanced proficiency in Angular and TypeScript.
- Experience with unit and integration testing using xUnit, NUnit, Jest, or equivalent frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of software architecture, including REST APIs, microservices, and DDD/CQRS patterns.
- Advanced knowledge of Git and Azure Repos, including branching strategies and Pull Request workflows.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD, pipelines, and quality gates.
- Experience with SonarQube for code quality and security analysis.
- Experience with Snyk for dependency vulnerability analysis.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Knowledge of at least one NoSQL database.
- Knowledge of OWASP principles and application security best practices.
- Proven experience conducting code reviews and supporting junior developers.
- Natural leadership and team-management abilities.
- Strong focus on quality, accuracy, and security.
- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Availability in the event of a critical emergency.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Docker and containerised environments.
- Experience with project-management tools such as Monday.com, Jira, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 25000, NIS2, or similar standards and regulations.
- Fluency in French.
- Knowledge of English.
- Knowledge of Dutch.
- Strong teaching skills and the ability to transfer technical knowledge.
