Overview
Functional Analyst with strong experience in functional and business analysis, backlog management, project coordination, testing, incident management, and Agile delivery. Skilled in gathering and challenging business requirements, translating needs into functional specifications, User Stories and Use Cases, modelling processes using BPMN, and defining clear Acceptance Criteria. Experienced in coordinating Business, IT, development, and product teams while taking end-to-end ownership from requirement clarification through production and post-release support.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as a key link between the Business, IT teams, development teams, and project stakeholders.
- Gather, analyse, challenge, and clarify business requirements in close collaboration with stakeholders.
- Organise and facilitate workshops with business teams to understand requirements and define appropriate solutions.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications, User Stories, and Use Cases.
- Model business and functional processes, particularly using BPMN.
- Define clear, measurable, and testable Acceptance Criteria.
- Identify functional and technical dependencies between different systems and applications.
- Break down functionalities into tasks and sub-tasks for the relevant teams.
- Support developers throughout implementation by clarifying functional requirements and answering business-related questions.
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned topics, from initial requirement identification through implementation, production release, and post-release follow-up.
Must Have Skills
- Strong experience in Functional Analysis and Business Analysis.
- Proven ability to gather, analyse, challenge, and translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- Strong experience creating User Stories, Use Cases, functional specifications, and Acceptance Criteria.
- Good knowledge of BPMN and business process modelling.
- Strong experience with Backlog Management and Prioritization.
- Experience facilitating Backlog Refinement and other Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Strong project coordination and delivery follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage topics and Features end-to-end.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to act as a bridge between Business and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to investigate functional and technical incidents independently.
- Experience with incident management, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution coordination.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage priorities, dependencies, risks, and blockers.
- Autonomous, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and ensure progress across different teams.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to take ownership and drive assigned topics through to completion.
Nice to have
- Experience with Selenium or other test automation tools.
- Experience working with SAP, Salesforce, Pricing, Market Cloud, EOS, or similar enterprise applications.
- Experience working with databases and API/testing tools such as Postman.
- Experience in complex web platforms or digital application environments.
- Experience working with cross-functional Business and IT teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience coordinating releases and production deployments.
- Ability to work across multiple systems with functional and technical dependencies.
- Experience in environments requiring strong incident investigation and problem-solving capabilities.
