Overview
We are seeking a skilled Functional Analyst to bridge business needs and technical solutions. You will translate requirements into detailed functional specifications, collaborate with architects and development teams, and ensure solution quality and alignment with enterprise standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, Agile experience, solid system knowledge, and fluency in French or Dutch with good English proficiency.
Job Responsibilities
- Accompany the business analyst and client in the reflection process toward a solution.
- Propose alternative and appropriate solutions aligned with enterprise architecture and strategy, while considering cost and benefit.
- Ensure that the client understands and adopts enterprise rules and standards regarding architecture and security.
- Work together with the architects to establish the architecture.
- Maintain close collaboration with the project manager, asset manager, and product owner.
- Act as a liaison between the client, business analyst, and involved asset teams, ensuring coordination among all parties.
- Provide a unified view toward the client and ensure that all involved IT teams clearly understand the client’s needs.
- Elaborate the chosen solution and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications.
- Align with involved asset teams on functional responsibilities and implementation scope.
- Design the application solution and identify impacts on various components as defined in the architecture.
- Collaborate with technical teams to specify detailed requirements for each component.
- Follow up on development and testing to ensure alignment with functional specifications.
- Define technical components managed by multiple teams (e.g., queues, security, integration layers).
- Support suppliers during development, integration, and assembly testing (I&AT).
- Analyse and resolve defects identified during testing phases.
- Assist release and deployment teams across environments.
- Provide post-production support, analyse incidents, coordinate resolutions, and update documentation accordingly.

Work within an Agile framework where preparation, elaboration, and construction are iteratively planned and executed in sprints.
Must Have Skills
- At least 5 years of proven experience.
- Strong functional and technical knowledge of existing IT systems.
- Practical experience with Scrum methodology.
- Familiarity with analysis methodologies aligned with enterprise standards.
- Knowledge of the relevant banking and technical domain is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and at least one of the country’s official languages (French and/or Dutch).
