Overview
We are seeking Software Solution Engineers with strong technical expertise, business analysis capabilities, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidates will support the design, development, and improvement of software solutions while collaborating with business stakeholders.
- IBM (AS/400) Developers
- IBM (AS/400) Developers with ARCAD experience
- Full Stack Developers with Angular experience
Job Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements; act as a bridge between business and IT to ensure solutions align with objectives.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and continuously improve internal software applications, including automation and process optimization.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing business-critical applications; troubleshoot issues and ensure performance, security, and scalability.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices; experiment with new tools (including AI) to improve quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, business teams, project managers, and external partners; participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and knowledge-sharing.
- Create and maintain technical/functional documentation; support end users through training and knowledge transfer.
- Participate in a mandatory on-call rotation (evenings, nights, weekends) and maintain 100% on-site presence (4/5 schedule acceptable).
Must Have Skills
- Proven experience in software development and/or IT business analysis.
- Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Hands-on experience in Angular development and/or IBM i (AS/400) development (essential).
- Experience maintaining and enhancing business-critical applications in a dynamic environment.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Team-first mindset, initiative, curiosity, and comfort with continuous learning and change.
- Willingness to work fully on-site and participate in on-call support.
Nice to have
- Experience with ARCAD (strong asset for IBM i profiles).
- Familiarity with AI tools to boost productivity, quality, and automation.
- Exposure to leading small projects or process-improvement initiatives.
- Background in mentoring/coaching colleagues and conducting training sessions.
- Knowledge of modern development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD) and related tooling.
