Overview
Android Developer with 6+ years' experience in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native Android applications using Kotlin. Experienced in building scalable, secure, and high-performance mobile applications following Clean Code principles, Android best practices, and Test-Driven Development (TDD). Strong expertise in Jetpack Compose, Material 3, Android SDK, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD practices. Passionate about Software Craftsmanship and Agile delivery, with experience collaborating in cross-functional Scrum teams to deliver innovative digital banking solutions. Fluent in English with knowledge of at least one local language (French or Dutch).
Job Responsibilities
- Translate business and functional requirements into high-quality Android applications.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable, and high-performance Android applications using Kotlin.
- Develop modern user interfaces using Jetpack Compose and Material 3 Design.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, UX Designers, QA Engineers, and Developers within Agile Scrum teams.
- Integrate Android applications with RESTful APIs, backend services, and third-party libraries.
- Ensure application performance, security, reliability, and responsiveness across different Android versions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and readable code while applying refactoring best practices.
- Develop and execute unit tests to ensure application robustness, usability, and reliability.
- Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and resolve application defects.
- Maintain high code quality through code reviews, static code analysis, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
- Contribute to application architecture following Android design principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.
- Share technical knowledge and actively contribute to improving development standards and Agile practices.

Must Have Skills
- Minimum 6 years of professional Android development experience.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
- Strong understanding of Clean Code principles and software engineering best practices.
- Excellent knowledge of Android Design Principles and Material Design Guidelines.
- Understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
- Strong expertise in Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Experience with Material 3 Design.
- Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Android application lifecycle.
- Experience supporting multiple Android SDK versions.
- Practical experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
- Knowledge of Git/SVN (GitLab or equivalent).
- Experience with Jenkins.
- Experience using SonarQube.
- Experience with Fortify.
- Knowledge of Confluence and Jira.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) principles.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies.
