Overview

We’re an independent digital consultancy with big ambitions. With offices in Belgium, India and the UK, we support a wide range of businesses. We build digital teams and deliver digital solutions. We are hiring an Oracle Database Administrator with 5+ years of experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Migration of databases from legacy to cloud
  • Performance and tuning of Oracle databases
  • Ensure data integrity and maintain a high level of systems availability
  • Maintain multiple Oracle databases following the cloud architecture and standards
  • Develop scripts, while providing documentation and procedures
  • Provide support to developers
  • Manage internal security in the Oracle databases

Must Have Skills

  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in Linux and Unix environment
  • Bachelor's/Master's in Computer Science (or equivalent by experience)
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Oracle Database 19c
  • Solid experience in Cloud (IaaS) and Oracle Exadata
  • Knowledge in performance and tuning
  • Knowledge with PL/SQL 
  • Knowledge of Linux/AIX server administration  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English  
  • Fluency in Dutch or French  
  • Be able to work in Agile Way Of Working
  • Experience with working in a complex organization   

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
  • Knowledge of Data Guard
  • Knowledge of Quest TOAD
  • Experience in the banking sector
  • Quick self-starter with a pro-active attitude
  • Good communication and influencing skills  
  • Good analytical and synthesis skills
  • Autonomy, commitment and perseverance
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and multicultural environment
  • Flexible and stress-resistant
