Overview

As part of the modernisation of internal management tools, our client is implementing Odoo modules Time Off and Planning to manage vacation requests and resource planning across multiple projects. We are seeking a part-time techno-functional Odoo Consultant (3 days/week)  who will be responsible for gathering and analysing functional requirements from Key Users, identifying process gaps, and aligning standard Odoo functionalities with business needs. The consultant will configure business rules related to absence management, leave entitlements, validation workflows, and resource allocation. Responsibilities include developing customised workflows, managing data migration (including historical schedules and leave entitlements), and conducting functional testing. The role also involves coordinating pre-launch phases, providing post-deployment support, and mentoring an internal developer to ensure long-term sustainability of the solution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Via Key Users, gather functional requirements for the 2 modules mentioned.
  • Analyse specific requirements and help prioritise.
  • Identify gaps between current processes and standard Odoo functionalities. 
  • Configure the Time Off and Planning modules according to the institution's specific needs.
  • Define business rules for managing absences, leave entitlements, hierarchical validation, time cycles, resource allocation, etc.
  • Develop workflows adapted to internal processes. 
  • Participate and manage the data migration stream (existing leave entitlements, historical schedules, etc.).
  • Carry out functional tests and coordinate phases prior to production launch. 
  • Provide post-deployment support (support, adjustments, Key User assistance).
  • Engage and support an in-house developer from the outset of this implementation, so that he can take over in the medium term.

Must Have Skills

  • At least 8 years of experience.
  • Expert level in Odoo (V18).
  • Advanced level of experience in Git.
  • Advanced level of experience in JavaScript.
  • Advanced level of experience in PostgreSQL.
  • Advanced level of experience in Python.
  • Excellent proficiency in at least one of the local languages: French and/or Dutch.

  • Good proficiency in English.
  • Strong experience in Change Management.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Result-oriented, structured, and organised.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills.
