  • You will be responsible for planning and participating in programming and QC activities for several studies or across an indication, including the submission of these activities 
  • Contribute to standards within a therapeutic area in accordance with the Asset Data Strategy 
  • Lead eCRF development process by planning and managing the eCRF Development and Post Go Live timelines 
  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers in support of clinical study data
  • Consult with regard to specific studied technical activities, issues and R&D strategic initiatives, and contribute to plans for capability improvement through increases efficiency / effectiveness
  • Lead small non-clinical projects within the department, with experience in grade major projects across the wider Programming Community 
  • May manage the development standards and input them into industry standards (-omics, biomarker, and in-licensed compounds) 
  • Motivates the functional or cross-functional teams, and may also represent the Programming Community externally (i.e. FDA teleconference) 
  • Resource effectively to meet team milestones, enable quick decision-making for projects, and build credibility and presence with customers, by influencing and creating added value at study and functional team levels 
  • Use other disciplines outside of the programming area to solve complex problems; proactively identify technical programming problems; define criteria for assessing alternative solutions and determine optimal approaches; decide on unusual and conflicting information; identify recurring problems and initiate process improvement; proactively identify, access and resolve the impact of decisions and actions from other groups; and look after future direction and wider objectives (project or business) 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor / Master degree or equivalent with proven applicable experience 
  • Expertise in SAS, SQL and / or scripting and programming languages and Rational Database Design, as well as an understanding of the regulatory process 
  • Make complex ideas simple; communicate effectively with clarity, impact, passion and tailored to audiences at project and external levels; leverage relationships to address project and study issues; present at a project level and externally; apply skills with graded experience; take initiatives to raise added value to customers; and generate and implement ideas and solutions to cross functional strategy; and anticipate process and software challenges 
  • Provide technical advice to other teams and departments on broader knowledge, such as UNIX scripting, computing environments, Data Capture, tools integration, Data Extraction. As well as to the outside community (i.e. Global Software Applications, Impact of new software and systems)
