Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for supporting new product development by creating formulations and/or providing analysis and evaluation of material and products at all stages of the development process, considering scientific and timing objectives 
  • Part of the development of conventional/non-conventional semi-solid and other formulations, as well as the development and validation of in-vitro models and transfer products from R&D into manufacturing 
  • Set and resets priorities to remain focused on objectives in rapid changing manners 
  • Aware of scientific literature to assist work progression and understanding, and write technical papers with agreement of superiors 
  • Design experiments and execute scientific work with awareness of state-of-the art technology, create research plans and departmental quality documentations, and manages projects in support of department plans to fit objectives
  • Maintain experimental records, issue reports at project milestone, and write invention records to protect scientific discoveries 
  • Identify, challenge, develop and implement written procedures
  • Ensure work is conducted according to written procedures, methods, batch documents, etc, good scientific and good manufacturing practices, site procedures, and within specific safety and quality responsibilities for department and site (i.e. MP, Audits, Health & Safety)
  • Underline own training needs and work with managers to develop training plans and goals. Train self and others in new technology, laboratory responsibilities and regulations impacting areas of work (i.e. EP/USP/ICH) 

Job Requirements:

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, consumer health, nutritional or related science
  • Bachelor of Science 
  • Deep understanding of analytical techniques (i.e. IC, ISE, HPLC and GC), on pre-formulation and physical characterisation techniques (i.e. rheology, pH and density), R&D processes and associated commercial environment, and statistics and its applications to experimental work 
  • Apply scientific principles and techniques to assigned projects 
  • Great communication skills with both internal and external organisations. Able to organise and report study data from each of these sources  
  • Pro-active, independent, problem-solder, multi-tasker, creative, innovative and team-player
